Nancy Butler, Macon Art
Artistically Speaking

Nancy Butler

Nancy Butler has been teaching art in Middle Georgia for the last 15 years and, in the very little free time she seems to have, finds serenity in her own personal artwork. Since receiving her master’s degree in painting from The Savannah College of Art and Design in 2001, she has had her work featured not only in galleries all over the country, but internationally as well. Her most recent show, however, was right here in Macon at the SoChi Gallery downtown.

Macon Artist Marthalyn Fortson
Artistically Speaking

Marthalyn Fortson

Marthalyn has spent most of her life in Middle Georgia, and her work has been displayed downtown for quite a while - but she is now finding her own place in Macon's creative community. Though she's painted most of her life, her style is constantly evolving and she claims to have still not found her own creative voice. As a result of this, she has an incredibly diverse body of work from which any Maconite could find something they loved.
