Formed in 1985, Macon Arts is a nonprofit organization funded in part by City of Macon, Bibb County, Georgia Council for the Arts, Office of the Governor, and through corporate and private contributions. Macon Arts serves more than 40 arts nonprofit organizations, three fine arts magnet schools, the music and art departments of five colleges and universities and a burgeoning community of artists in all media.

Some of their projects include: Ovations, their quarterly publication; The Gallery at Macon Arts, featuring work by over 100 Georgia artists; Bibb County Institute for the Arts; Fired Works; Taste of Music; Annual Macon Arts Cultural Awards
